Crawling?

Call me crazy, but today I swear it looked like Chubbs was trying to crawl. I was working in the kitchen (even though it was a million degrees outside and it really was the worst place to be)...I put Addison on her tummy over in the corner of the kitchen so that I wouldn't accidentally step on her and I gave her her (newish) favorite ball to play with. When I glanced over a few minutes later, I noticed that she had rolled the ball away and was doing this:

Note: the ball lights up and plays music, so I had to keep hitting it so that it would keep her attention. Half way through she stopped to blow raspberries on her arm, but kept pushing with her legs. LOL! What a cutie! Yes, I do realize that she is not actually crawling....I am not totally crazy. But I do think that she is starting to put some pieces together, and I wanted to celebrate that effort (thus the video). This might seem like nothing to you, but this really made my day (and week) GO CHUBBS! I am so proud of you!

  1. Wow! That was amazing, Deanna! She was working so hard to get to that ball! She really seems to have the "push with your legs" part figured out, and she's trying so hard. Cute how she finally reached up with her hand to grab the ball at the end. Thanks for sharing this with us! Yay, Addison!

  2. Go Addison! At our house we call it the "inch worm" but it is a form of movement and takes a lot of strength! Pretty soon she'll put all of those moves together and then she'll be on the go!!!

  3. Wow! What an exciting accomplishment for Miss Chubbs Mcphee! I especially liked the background music to encourage her. I found myself cheering for her to reach the ball. We love you Chubbs. Keep up the good work!
