Ballet McPhee

Today was a beautiful, low-key day that I was able to use to spend time with my daughter, get stuff done around the house and try out the Zumba DVDs for the first time. Love the low key days where there are no appointments, nothing we have to rush around town for (or we just choose not to), just Chubbs and I chillin' at home. My favorite kind of day!

notice how far she is stretching her nasal cannula away from her face....gotta keep a close eye on this one...

I'm posting this pic as proof. During her 6 month evaluation she got marked down for not playing with more than one toy at once. I have started encouraging her to do this and now she likes to have both hands full.

Dressing her to prepare for future ballet classes....

She seems excited....

She's getting pretty attached to her thumb...LOL...that's dedication!

Some tomatoes from our garden....had so much fun today making spaghetti sauce with these tomatoes and random ingredients I found in my kitchen (mushroom, red onion, sausage, spices, garlic, etc) Love cooking with fresh garden produce!

Maybe it was our extra time together...I don't know, but today I noticed for the first time Addison responding to her name. I was trying to get a good picture of her and I said "Addison." and she looked right at me. She has always ignored me before. I tried it many more times to make sure it wasn't a fluke, and sure enough she looked at me each time.
Another thing that she did for the first time today: She looked at me and started laughing without me tickling or kissing her. Maybe she was laughing at my haircut....maybe. What a great day!

  1. Anna and I loved looking at these pictures of Addison. We giggled and commented on how sweet she is! We love her smile! Your tomatoes are beautiful, and I bet your spaghetti sauce is fabulous!

  2. I want to see your hair-cut! LOL on the thumb pic.!
SO HAPPY to finally be back on internet and able to catch up on Addison! I've caught myself wondering the last couple of weeks what she's been up to!

Thanks for reading about my Everything and Nothing. I would love to hear from you!
